It’s easy to feel paralyzed when staring down the vast expanse of a journey. The sheer magnitude of it whispers lies: “You’ll never make it. It’s too much.” But the truth is, courage doesn’t demand we conquer the whole mountain today. It simply asks for one step.
Lately, mine was saying yes to hubby's vision of room expansion. He led us through it all and I learned a lot.
Since I said yes, soon our sons have their own rooms. Which is a sweet gift for them, having their own routines and peace at falling asleep and getting up.
And I remember that one season when my life felt like an unfinished puzzle. Each piece lay scattered, the final picture a mystery. I wanted to see it all come together, yet it was daunting to begin. But then, I made a choice: focus on the next right move. Not the whole puzzle—just one piece.
That day, my one thing was reaching out to someone I trusted for advice. It wasn’t monumental, but it mattered. It felt doable, even in my overwhelmed state. And as I completed it, a small victory echoed in my heart: “You did it. Keep going.”
Today, I invite you to pause. What’s one small thing you can do? Maybe it’s clearing a corner of your workspace, writing one paragraph, or taking a ten-minute walk to clear your head. It doesn’t need to be grand. Let it be simple. Let it be enough.
With each tiny step, we chip away at fear. Focus sharpens. Courage builds. The path ahead becomes less intimidating, not because it has changed, but because we have.
Let’s celebrate the small victories, the quiet courage it takes to move forward. And in time, we’ll look back and realize that those small, deliberate moves were what built the life we dreamed of.
What’s your next step today?
With love,
Pia
